Welcome to the Future: 081: Events, gigs and new release round-up 26-April 2019

It’s Friday, therefore time for the usual amodelofcontrol.com round-up of new music coming your way this week and soon, as well as a look at the events and gigs in the future, and finally nods to any other notable news that affects artists and music that I cover here.

transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – had begun the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes here. The latest episode was released a few months ago (transmission: 012). transmission: 013 will be out as soon as I have the time to rebuild the whole damned thing…

You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the new Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”).

If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

New and Upcoming Releases this week

A few notable releases this month, and in particular the year-long project that 65daysofstatic revealed this week, with the first EP imminent, which features the outstanding new single KMF.

Also out today: the new line-up of Agent Side Grinder are back with A/X (which is fabulous), Lamb have also returned with The Secret of Letting Go, and Nature of Wires release their new EP Reborn.

It is Forms of Hands this weekend, too, and the usual compilation (Forms of Hands 19 is this years) also sees a video for the new Winterkälte track Save The Arctic accompany it.

Other Music News

The ever-excellent Uniform tour later in the year – this time I’m going to make it after missing a few shows previously!

Also, The Graun had an interesting article on the continuing problems women face at gigs. This was of course something I covered two years ago on Repeater: 001, and it is frankly distressing to see that absolutely nothing has changed, aside from a few token gestures.
