Welcome to the Future: 066: Events, gigs and new release round-up 04-January 2019

2019 is here, and the Friday round-up is back. As always this is a look at upcoming releases, relevant music news and upcoming events and gigs worth spending some of your time at – but most importantly this week, it also rounds up what is likely to be coming your way in 2019. I’m always on the lookout for more to include.

Over the past month I’ve run through the best of 2018 in my Countdown series, you can find the links to these posts at the bottom of this post.

transmission – the amodelofcontrol.com podcast – had begun the run through of the a-z of industrial, with all episodes here. The latest episode was released a few months ago (transmission: 012). transmission: 013 will be out as soon as I have the time to rebuild the whole damned thing…

You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher, and is also now available on the new Google Podcasts App (search “amodelofcontrol”).

If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

Other Music News

There is now a trailer for the upcoming Lords of Chaos film about the early days of Mayhem – although I’ve no doubt it will be as sensationalised as the book was.

While there was an unexpected interview in the music section of the Graun this morning – a lengthy piece with Nitzer Ebb.
