Welcome to the Future: 023: Music news and new release round-up 05-January 2018

The first Friday of 2018, and amodelofcontrol.com rumbles back into life. Starting with…this week’s round-up of music coming your way in 2018 (that’s relevant to this ‘site, anyway), and a look at what is coming next here, too. It’s all about the future. Well, mostly.

You can also get it via RSS, on iTunes, on Stitcher. transmission: 003 will be available at some point in the next week.

If you want to submit anything to be included here? E-mail me (You know what to do with that to make it work, right?), comment/message on Facebook at the amodelofcontrol.com page, and over on Twitter (@amodelofcontrol).

Other things

New legislation, at long last, has finally been introduced to stop touts buying enormous numbers of tickets by bots. Quite how many loopholes it will have, and how effective it will be, are questions that need answering, perhaps, but this is at least a step in the right direction.

In terms of events further ahead, Whitby Goth Weekend is 27/28/29-April, Infest is 24/25/26-August (and it’s the twentieth anniversary), and Goth City 3: Season of the Witch is 11-October through to 21-October. Look out for line-up news in due course for all of these.
