I’m so glad you liked mind.in.a.box. I’m totally gutted I missed out on seeing them as other commitments meant I couldn’t go to Infest this year. I have to say that I didn’t think anything could beat the set from Front Line Assembly all those years ago (2006), but I guess it sounds like they’ve now been beaten!

Over the years of SB, there were a handful of bands who really fitted in and lifted the evening. Not necessarily the bands who, in other contexts, I like – Pink Grease, for instance, were never really my thing but both times they played SB, they did a great job of getting the party started. Whereas Johnny Boy, who made one of the two best songs of the noughties, still felt a little like an intrusion. But yeah, that lot on Friday were just useless. Daisy Chainsaw minus their one good song? No ta.

It always amuses me quite how strongly people who don’t like My Life Story don’t like them.
