Support act Novembre (I missed first band The Prophecy) were ok, and evidently loved by a good proportion of the crowd, but not really to my taste. Standard doom, really, with a lot of each track on a DAT – made all the more obvious by their brave cover of Stripped. I’ve been waiting patiently for over six years for another chance to see Rico live (at Reading in ’99), so to say I was looking forward to it was something of an understatement.
